Does anyone have for sale or know of someone that wants to part with a set of original magnesium Halibrand wheels for a 427? I know someone that's looking to buy.

   only have 1000miles.

Thanks for the offer, but they have to be 15's and from the period. They are going on an original 427 CSX.

Gus, you don't want magnesium wheels for the street! They are unsafe, good for a museum. All the street cobras' whether 289, 427 or 427SC were equipped with aluminium Halibrand wheels. Magnesium deteriorates and become brittle. It's fine for racing when wheels are replaced after just a few runs! There was a set for sale on E-bay a year ago, did not sell!

My Dad had to paint the insides of his mag Halibrands, as they were so porous his tyres went flat between races!

Thanks for the feedback, guys. But they are not for me. these are going on an original 427 that has been extensively raced. The owner wants it to go back to original style wheels.
