Over the winter I have a few jobs to progress on the Cobra.  One of which is having the seats partially recovered to cover up the original headrest mounting hole.

I note that a number of owners have had this work done in the past so can I ask for your recommendations please.  I'm in Aberdeen but expect to have to send them away somewhere...but where?

Hi Jim,
I can recommend the trimmer that Thunder Road use in Surrey. FYI - when I last had some trim work done I also had heated seat pads fitted which has made a worthwhile difference on chilly days.

Could also have been J Mussell and Son at Godalming Surrey. 01483 426526. They do some beautiful trimming.

Slightly nearer to home for you are SimTrim in Spalding, Lincs, who did a very nice job on the soft-top for 'REV' here on the forum, and also refreshed the seats in 39PH, check out Cobra Various in their portfolio, and then browse some of their other work! Gorgeous.

Simtrim are very good, but you'll need to wait and they are not the cheapest!

I would agree with John and thoroughly recommend you fit heated elements in the seat whilst you're having them recovered. They are not expensive and on a cooler day better than a heater. Very cosy.

I bought Landrover Defender versions from Exmoor trim. I can recommend them.

Many thanks to Graham, Andy, Nik, Keith, Nick and John.  Several quality recommendations there.  One can almost smell the leather from the examples on the websites.  I'll post some feedback when I get the job done.

I'm humbled by the suggestion to fit seat heating pads.  Despite being a hardened Scot, I'm embarassed to confess I don't take the car out when it's cold.

   Thanks again to all.
