Found this item currently on EBay (U.S.) in the event anyone is interested.  Below is an item description and a link to the auction item.
   
   "1963 A.C. Cobra original factory chassis instruction book (owners manual), size 6 by 9 inches with 57 pages, this manual was taken out of an original 1963 cobra in the 1980s, condition  used, one  screw missing , last couple pages creased and soiled, some fingerprints inside from usage, the square binding is worn on both ends, there are lots of reprints out there, not many real ones left. any questions  please  send an e-mail, USA shipping will be $7.00, sorry no overseas sales, Item maybe returned in 14 days if not as discribed, payment due in seven days of end of auction, one day shipping if possible, thanks for looking."

I guess someone really wanted it badly!  Likely a pretty rare item that rarely comes up for sale.

Crumbs! I have one sitting on my technical library shelf, here in my office. Better hide it away in the safe! I think John Spencer had some Cobra chassis instruction books re-printed if anyone is interested. The same goes for many other AC models.

Wow, I have a colour swatch pack for 1962, 2pp airmail letter from Jock Henderson to US prospect, leather sample etc. At those prices for what I paid it is in line with Ace Bristol appreciation! Happy days...

In retrospect I'm happy I paid the considerable sum of £8 to Charles Mortimer for a Cobra 'Chassis Handbook'. I went without food or alchohol for several days after that.
