Color code for my red MKIV missing

How can I find out my color code when the code is not listed on my AC MKIV?  It's usually in the engine compartment, but I cannot find it.  Porsche Guards Red? Mercedes Signal Red?  In the garage, it actually looks Candy Apple Red, but I don't think the factory painted it that color.  Yes, it's the original paint.

I will check in my SAAC book and see if it is listed with any particularity. I recall that the book will say "red" but might not say which red.

If it looks "candy red", probably PGR or MB Signal red.....

Originally painted Mercedes Signal Red as listed in the AC Autokraft factory 'bible'. (Shipped and sold via Frontier Motors, Pawnee, Oklahoma)
