LSV982 - This Cobra is registered as a 1949 AC 2-Litre sedan...?

I just came across this photo, taken Aug 9, 2025, at Motors by the Moat, Leeds Castle.

This Cobra's registration plate, LSV 982, is tied to a 1949 AC 2-Litre sedan that was "first manufactured" in Nov 1984.

Can someone please clarify the story here?

Did someone actually construct a Cobra replica on the 2-Litre sedan chassis associated with this registration? Or did someone re-purpose the old registration from a 2-Litre sedan to this Cobra replica?

Does anyone know the basis for this Cobra replica? Is it an Angliss car, a Hawk, a scratch-built car, or other?

Here's a webfind photo of LSV982 from Transportfest Brooklands in Oct 2014, attached to an AC 2-Litre.

Does this car still exist and, if so, why does its registration plate now appear on the Cobra above?

This Cobra-like car isn't in ACOC's Cobra register as it doesn't have a Thames Ditton Cobra 'AC or AC-like period car number' (register introduction).

I wonder if anyone can shed light on LSV 982's creation?

As Robin points out whatever identity is claimed this is not an A.C. and as Graham points out this particular abuse of the DVLA system and the loss of identity for a genuine 2 Litre saloon is not an isolated example.
Those involved in this practice are skating on pretty thin ice, not least the offences associated with driving an uninsured motor vehicle. You can form your own opinion here:
