Bristol D2 Engine Colour

Can anyone please tell me the original colour/color on the Bristol D2 motor?
   
   Is it the same as Austin Healey?

   I believe  Bristol Engine blocks were  painted:-
   
   French  Grey
   
   I seem to recall that Tony Byford a Leading  UK  Bristol and early BMW  engine rebuild specialist of many years, researched the colour
   
   many moons ago and found the perfect match.[;)]
   
   Sorry do not know the manufacturer or a code just that it was French Grey
