Wanted: Tool Kit and Tools for AC Ace or AC Aceca

Hi all and greetings from New Zealand,

Following the recent purchase of AC Aceca chassis BE 655 I have done something that is completely foreign to me – I have entered both the Aceca Bristol and my Ace Bristol in a concours in early Feb 2026 at Ellerslie in Auckland.  This is something that is completely foreign to me as I am definitely more "wired" to driving and enjoying these fantastic cars as opposed to polishing their exhausts!

However with the Aceca having done 10km since full restoration my thinking is that its never going to be in better condition than now to enter a concours, before we start putting some miles on the car.

One thing that I am short of is an original tool kit for an Ace or Aceca with the round board that the tools fit in.  I have original Jack, hammer for wheels and grease gun but nothing more as I have never needed them – I have done around 25000 miles in the Ace since acquiring it driving on NZ roads (where they got paid by the corner to build them and made a lot of money!) and its never let me down or broken down..... famous last words .... hopefully not!

If anyone has a set of tools and board the tools fit in (anywhere in the world) that they are looking to sell, please do get in touch – either via this forum or email me glen@wbb.co.nz   Many thanks, Glen Smytheman

Thanks Barrie, there is another AC Aceca in NZ that does have a tool kit that is about 300km away from where I live.  I have a friend that lives in that area that is going around to measure, take more photos, trace the toolboard etc tomorrow.  I have also searched on the links - thank you for that.  Our local vintage car club has lots of used tools that can be acquired very cheaply and so I think we are heading in the right direction.  Greatly appreciated.  Glen
