Headlight conversion

Dear all

As a new forum member first I want to say hello to you all. I`m living in the south of Germany and love the cobras since the `90 when I watched them racing on the Nürburgring. But the main thing is I`been happy owner of AK1246 for a few days.

AK1246 is a UK-version so I have to convert the headlights for driving on the right in Germany. Is there a how to for dismantling the headlamps or a short guide?

I'm guessing you have solved this already, but just in case (and on the assumption of similarity), this is a half decent summary of how things are dismantled and converted.

Hello, I'm living close to France in Saarlouis/Saarland and have a MK IV converted to RH headlights.

I did an upgrade to LED bulbs but then needed to have a specific reflector/glas installed to make it road legal with TÜV approval.

So if you want to convert to RH and to brighter LED bulbs you need to order specific headlight inserts

You can call me with every question you have about the MK IV. I did also some work on friends cars. Actually AK 2002 is in my garage and will go to the new owner in the next 2 weeks.
