Yes, and real fast because I asked some hours after auction has ended.

He who lingers loses! Were you considering it as a project?

Yes, my MK IV is finished now. The last problem with the beating during change of load is solved, life becomes a little boring [:)]

I bought some mushroom grommets and slightly filed down the post and they push in perfectly ....i actually used a little rubber glue to seal them in and they look spot on.  The mushroom heads work perfectly when you close the bonnet....not too slack ...you can feel them tightening onto the bonnet. It is a good idea to make sure there is no water in the tube they fit into.....i drilled 2 small holes through the bottom of the tube where the front rubbers go ....dryed it through and sprayed wax oil down there to avoid rusting....it is dead easy and only takes an hour...i think the grommets are £1 each and you need 12....contact me if i can help....luke@stonesetltd.com

Actually, the rubber bumpers Autokraft used were too tall. In fact, cars with the hood scoop often had the weld seam in the center of the rear bonnet start to crack open as they put a bumper in the center right where the seam was. The combination of the seam and the pressure from the bumper often caused the skin to crack.

I trimmed down the bumper some of the cars I sold so if the rubber bumpers on your car looks like they were attacked with a razor blade....it probably was!

AK1161

The part you see is perfect and the right height,13mm wide and perfectly convex like a mushroom....the only part i have filed is the stalk that drops into the hole to slightly narrow its width.....we are talking about 0.2mm......its not like
we have taken a michelin tyre and started from scratch.

AK1002 soon to arrive in the UK - a wise buy indeed (the buyer owns a very big 'ammer...)
