Does anyone have any experience of fitting or using the Ron Footit camshaft supplied by Colin Dunn? I would like to fit one while rebuilding my engine but am puzzled by the fact that when the rockers are assembled to the head in order to get the correct clearances the adjusting screw has to be turned down so far that there is only just enough left to get the locknut on. This means that the screw is acting at an angle to the top of the valve, not directly down the centre line. Also because the follower arm is pointing upwards it does not get a correct sweep through the right angle to the valve during the lift. This in turn affects the valve opening speed. Overall the indications are that the follower need to be fitted with a larger roller.
