Early AC Ace Door Strap - Stitched or Riveted?

Hello,
I am working on my early Ace's interior and have a question regarding door lock straps.  Most everywhere I look (Rinsey Mills' guide, etc.), I see double stitched (no rivet), closed loop straps - same color as the interior.  My car has a set of riveted, non-colored, straps (pic attached) that appear to be as old as the car.  Any intel out there as to whether early Aces were fitted with riveted straps?  I would like the replacement to be what was original to the car.

Thank you!

Mine were stitched at both ends. The forward end was a longer loop which went through the side screen bracket, then back through itself. The rearward end was a smaller loop which pressed over the turned round part of the door catch handle. Both sides broke some time ago but I still have them to use as patterns. They should be colour coded to match the leather interior colour.
