I am having a problem with crunching gears!   The clutch on my Weller powered Aceca is not properly disengaging.  So far we have tried,  adjusting the clutch so there is almost no free play with no noticeable effect.  pumping the pedal doesn't improve things and the slave cylinder was replaced last year, when the clutch was also bled.   There does not appear to be any oil on the fly wheel so doesn't look like  oil is making the clutch plate stick.  Any thoughts on what else to try other than engine out!!   I assume the engine has to come out to do the clutch?

I am having ongoing problems with over fuelling the carbs.  Currently set up with a "Facet Gold Flo" electric pump and a regulator at the front.  My thoughts (after speaking to Burlen) is that the pump should be located at the rear of the car as the Facet pump and the SU pump recommended by Burlen are better suited to pushing the fuel rather than pulling it.    My question is where have other owners successfully located their pumps,  what are they using and any tips would be welcome
Thanks

Does anyone have a manual I could borrow or buy?  I have been unable to find one and the club is out of print.  Happy to collect (if you are not too far away from Alton Hampshire,  or will pay postage etc

Does anyone know where I can source a gear knob with reverse top left for my Aceca?  I have tried a few of the online companies such as Rimmer Bros etc without success

I am having trouble with my handbrake releasing.    I press the button in to lock it on,  however it always seems to let go of the ratchet and releases the brake.  Is the handbrake release adjustable or does anyone have experience of fixing this problem?  I am guessing that there is a pin that locks (or isn't locking in this case) into the crescent shaped ratchet?

Thanks in advance

Hello

AE513 is almost complete, just finishing the interior re-trim.  I would like to know how the arm that holds the hatchback open should be attached to the body of the car?   Mine was with 4 self tapping screws into the aluminium internal wing.  Is this correct?  Feels like it should be nuts&bolts

Guys,  there is no Speedo cable fitted to my  Aceca, AC engined car. I have had a cable made.  Do I need to remove the seats and gearbox tunnel to fit it?

Thanks

It has been an interesting time getting this car back on the road. Most recently I have had the carbs rebuilt and the original AC engine is beginning to run really well now.  Although it just stopped for no reason on Thursday and I had to be towed home.  Friday,  with sleeves rolled up,  I checked fuel flow and spark... all fine and it started straight up again.  My mechanic thinks it could be the condenser  failing when it's hot?   Thoughts anyone?   Also what condenser and coil do I use?  Photo attached?

So far I have done around 20 miles and I am now within sight of a usable car!

One other question,  I have the oil pressure gauge but not the rest of it and in any case I can't work out where it would fit to the engine??   In the past there seems to have been an oil filter mod.  Photo attached.  Any help as to where this fits on the engine and where I can get the gubbins that goes between the gauge and the engine much appreciated

Does anyone know where I can source a Speedo cable for my 1955 AC engine Aceca?   If not I can get one made by speedy cables,  however they need to know the length and the end connections?   And as I don't have a cable I don't have this information....
Any help much appreciated

Thanks

Being a new owner of an Aceca, we are going through the car and I note that the steering full lock is very poor,  it's like a Land Rover Defender!   Is this poor design or should the full lock be reasonable?

Any input appreciated
Thanks
