According to the gentleman posting the news the car shown is a ,,prototype". We assume it is based on a remaining  MK VI car.

..... Mk VI prototype, maybe :o..... has anyone come accross any Mk VI "production" cars?

a few ended in Switzerland, so far I remember 2 have been homologated for street use, one with blue livery and one with red livery. Further 2 were then for sales (one black, and one blue) in Grison.
Nice cars indeed, good to "cruise" in the Alps, actually very rare.

it is interesting how the dynamics behind the brand AC is rolling. CNN just published an article on Hi-Tec Automotive and Superformance:
https://edition.cnn.com/2022/06/08/africa/hi-tech-automotive-superformance-replica-cars-spc-intl/index.html
Superformance is delivering on promises since decades and has a full portfolio, and any time some news are popping up in Europe about the brand AC, Superformance seems to raise a hand. Superformance goes electric too.

I fear that AC Automotive is no longer an active company. Let's see what come out of the ashes, Mr. Lubinsky is relentless about the brand AC.

Simon, if I remember well, Ford had to give up its rights on the Cobra brand in Europe, not confirmed, but heard in several conversations with AC Automotive GmbH.

The car has been built and serves for homologation, but in 5 years, one is definitively able to be profitable and not still hunting for a COC.

Hi Rob, well, no so brilliant with the ordered MkVI, the situation worsened significantly.
I just want my car, homologated and delivered in Switzerland or my money back, quite simple and straightforward. I now mandated an attorney in law in Germany.

Quite expensive Mk IV in Switzerland: www.autoscout24.ch/3214364.
228'000CHF is quite challenging a price.

Hi Hermann, if you need assistance for the homologation in Switzerland, you may contact also Normando Ruggiero in Buttwil, Switzerland, at Novidem ag (http://www.novidem.ch/novidem-classics/, info(at)novidem.ch), they have some AC Mk IV among there customer's cars and seem comfortable with their homologation, maintenance and upgrades.
In any case, if you have owned the car for more than 6 months outside of Switzerland, you can import ist as Übersiedlungsgut (migrant or household effect) and homologation is quite straightforward, my wife did the same with her car from Dubai, eventhough the model was not available in CH.

Well done Rob, actually much, much more than that.

You shall offer your services to redesign the latest Mk II iteration to enable homologation ;-)

Hey John, the body is a mix of fibreglass and aluminium, the aluminium being mixed to the epoxy for better longevity of the body.
The engine is a crate LS3 by Chevy (http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/crate-engines/ls3.html), not supercharged or compressor, so far I know.

Well, well, well,... What happened to Gullwing GmbH? You'd better ask Mercedes ;-)
