Two books come to mind:

The First Three Shelby Cobras by Gordon Bruce

Cobra Pilote, the Ed Hugus Story by Robert D. Walker

Both books detail the early history of Cobras in the US.

It sure looks like a Kirkham, built by Dave Wagner.
If that's what it is, price seems crazy high, $75,000 higher than other Kirkhams, $50,000 higher than Shelby alloy continuation cars.

This car is local to me and I've been to see it.
It's in good not great condition.
It's a fuel injected model with some engine bay modifications.
   Riveted scoop on hood.
I opine that it's not priced well as there has been no interest in several tries on ebay.
If someone is truly interested, I will be glad to lend local assistance.

Can anyone tell me or show me what type of weatherstrip/molding is at bottom of hardtop, where it sits on the body of the car? What are measurements and profile so I could try to find or replicate?  Thank you.

Keith,
Thank you for the trouble you've taken with the fuel filler caps.
I would like to order one,if it's not too late.
I may be contacted at m_terlecky@yahoo.com
   Thanks again,

AK1164 to be part of RM's "Dingman Auction" on June 9-10 in USA.
There is no reserve so it will be interesting to see what it sells for.

The red painted wheels and riveted hood are not to my taste.

I think the problem in the US is the many Shelby Cobra replicas and kit cars.  The AC AutoKraft cars find it hard to differentiate themselves from the herd.  I think in Europe they are perceived as legitimate cars in their own right, due to their handmade aluminum construction and the long history of AC Cars.

I had my car AK1121, an excellent example, listed on Ebay at $89,000 and it didn't sell.

Thanks for the link.

I have AK1121, which is a US spec carb car.  It came with a single exhaust system with dual outlets on the left sde.  I was able to convert to a true dual exhaust system with a muffler under each side(door).  I utilized the original polished tips for the tips of the new system, one tip at each side.

Does anyone know what the gasket is for the fuel sender.  Mine is leaking.  I would rather put on a ready made one than make my own.
   Thank you,

Rick,
Any info on AK1121?  It was sold by Muck Motors and you personally delivered it to West Cheater, PA  Thanks, Mark
