Since trying to trace my wife's uncle's old Cobra - COB6054, two and a half years ago i found nothing except some pictures of it purporting to have taken part in an oldtimers meeting at the Nurburgring in 2010.

Bonham's auction catalogue has now landed on my doormat and COB6054 is to be auctioned in the New Year!

Comparing Bonham's pictures with those posted here

there seems to be some marked differences between the two cars, wheel arches, engine bay details etc and very worryingly the chassis plates don't seem to be identical if you look closely ..............?

I'm not a Cobra expert but i'm sure some of you are, what do you think?

Does anyone have any knowledge of the whereabouts and current owner of '66 Cobra, chassis number COB 6054 which was originally UK registered JGF 272D?

The car's 1st owner was my wife's uncle who recently died. We now have some original photo's of the car when in his ownership which the current owner may be interested in copies of.

A google search gives a Belgium website showing pictures of the car at old timers meeting at the Nurburgring in 2010 i believe. One of the pictures shows its original UK registration number but doing a vehicle check for that number plate does not find anything, so very likely that it has been exported and is now residing in Europe somewhere.
