First part of large collection of airship specialist stuff is selling 21 March in Lewes, includes a lot of R100 items and photos, though haven't seen anything re AC... see wallisandwallis.org

Adapter, so 5 mins work, and easily removable. When I wanted another filter I found the one for my 2.9 Granada works well and is easily available.

You might find the quality identical to Hawk, but perhaps cheaper...

Yes it is still around! Haven't had it on the road for 20 years but drove it to the Le Mans classic this year.
The logbook shows you didn't buy it until early 1973!

What are you driving now, and still in Walton?

To answer my own query, when I took the release bearing into the factor they came back in 30 seconds with the correct one, either as a graphite or roller bearing alternative!
The irony is that it is the one that fits the more powerful Hunter/Sceptre range, and I have now, 35 years after deciding that the Ace was not a practical everyday car and buying a Ginetta G21 with the Sceptre engine, found the first part other than the headlights which is common to them both.
Some years ago there was mention of creating a parts list, did anything come of it?

Does anyone have an old (long boot) tonneau for sale?

On way to collect son's Magnum Opus...a Bristol 408, called in yesterday at the Bristol factory for the last 25 years in Bristol, to find it completely cleared and the last 2 workers waiting to hand the keys back to the landlord. All the spares, jigs and tools have apparently been crated up and shipped to Farnborough, Hants where the 3 remaining workers from 25 previously will unpack and remanufacture/rebuild parts and cars respectively starting in the New Year....hopefully. Apparently the London Stores are still there.

Does anyone have a part no for AC engined Ace clutch thrust bearing; my local factor (who I try to support if possible) has cover and driven plate in stock but can find no reference to this, and I dont want to take it all apart without having the replacement bits to hand.
   Thanks
