Thanks for the mention John. Yes, after a period of inactivity, the restoration is moving forward again. More updates can be found on the facebook page for the car as well if anyone is interested: www.facebook.com/acrestoration

Rebuilding the original AC 2-litre engine out of my Buckland is certainly not within my budget at the moment and so I am considering fitting it with a Triumph 2-litre engine instead.

One option is to buy an engine and gearbox and just install the whole thing, making new mounts as needed, chopping the prop and introducing a hydraulic clutch system and clutch pedal mounts etc as needed.

However, I also wondered if it were possible to somehow mate the AC gearbox with the Triumph engine, therefore using the original clutch system and gearbox mounts?

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this or should I abandon my thoughts straight away!

   Many thanks

As the title suggests, I am looking for a copy of ACOC Bulletin number 42, dated September 1953. Apparently page 125 mentions the first owner of my AC Buckland competing at Goodwood in a five lap handicap. I would love to be able to get an actual copy of the magazine for my history file if anyone has one to sell.
   Many thanks
