Robin's comments below:

"Dear all, After more than 12 years in the making, I'm incredibly proud to finally share "Finding the Heart of the Cobra", a story that goes far beyond a car.

This film is a journey into the soul of my 1962 AC Bristol, Chassis BEX 1213, the machine that helped shape what the Cobra would become. Along the way, I've had the honor of connecting with some of the very people who lived and defined that history, including Allen Grant, Peter Brock, Billy Krause, John Morton, Mike McClusky, Lynn Park, along with many others. Narration on this film is by Ned Scudder, bringing it all together.

What started as a passion project turned into something much deeper, a search for the origins, the spirit, and the people behind an icon.

This isn't just about horsepower or heritage, it's about heart.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this story to life. The journey has been unforgettable, and now it's finally time to share it.

I am writing to invite you some of your fellow Norfolk & Suffolk members to this year's Best of British Cars event on Friday 24  July.

As you know, our trial event in August last year was a great success with multiple prestige British marques on show, including Aston Martin, Lotus, Jaguar, Bentley, AC and Bristol!

A brief video of last year's event is here:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CcxHQL7qgbQIoujG0xw6tz5gCW9bka9L/view?usp=sharing

We would very much like to welcome some more of your members to this invitation-only event, held at our beautiful private cricket ground where the emphasis once again is for those attending to enjoy a sociable and convivial pre-weekend late afternoon/early evening with fellow enthusiasts and to contribute to a fabulous display of the best of British cars from all eras. We are expecting a bigger turn out this year with more marques represented. D o please encourage some of your fellow members to join us with their cars as it would be nice to have several ACs and Bristols on show.

As before, there will be a BBQ and bar with the proceeds going to The East Anglian Air Ambulance and Ashby St Mary church. There is no entry fee.

Ashby St Mary Cricket Club, Hall Road, Ashby St Mary, Norfolk NR14 7BL

Full details are at: www.thebestofbritishcars.com

Has anyone taken (or know of anyone who may have taken) any video of a black AC Aceca taking part in the ACOC sprint in years 2014 and 2015. It was at Goodwood and probably at the original date of the first Saturday in November. Kevin Shilling, current custodian of 'Bluebird' is trying to track down any video footage taken when the car was painted black and appearing at the sprint? If you do have any information please email Kevin at: kevin@shilling.co.uk

Thank you

Cobra (Thames Ditton) Forum / Wire wheels
March 21, 2025, 11:03:46
Does anyone have a set of 5 (or 4 if need be) old AC Cobra 6" x 15" wire wheels around they would sell? Preferably running fairly true but slightly rusty or old painted wheels will do the trick. If you have spinners too that would be the ideal. And if anyone has any slightly damaged or rusty overriders surplus I'd be interested in those too.
