Hello everyone,
I am currently researching the early North American history of AC Ace Bristol, Chassis BEX 406 (Engine 100D 763).
The factory records note that the car was dispatched on February 3, 1958, directly to the importing dealer, British Columbia Sports Cars in Vancouver, Canada. It eventually resurfaced in the late 1980s with RM Classic Car Investments Inc. in Chatham, Ontario, before being officially repatriated back to the UK by dealer Brian Classic, clearing customs on September 14, 1989.
I am trying to bridge the missing 30-year gap between its 1958 arrival in Vancouver and its 1980s stint in Ontario. Oral history from the vehicle's import file links a long-lost black-and-white photograph of the car to the name "Robert" and "Westwood" (possibly the historic British Columbia race circuit). Given the timeline and location, there is a strong possibility this points to early Canadian AC racing legend Robert "Bob" Constabaris, though I am eager to verify if he or another local driver campaigned or owned BEX 406 during its early years.
Does anyone in the club have access to early West Coast Canadian delivery logs, regional race grids, or old registrar files that might list the original retail owners or drivers attached to BEX 406 during its North American life?
Any leads, names, or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks
Keith
