Thanks Peter,

Can I ask where the washer control is located on your car and others yo7 may have seen.  The control for mine has been located behind the dash where it is not visible,  I assume as the person doing the restoration 20 years ago decided they were not original to the car.

Regards

Nigel

Barrie,

I have just obtained a set of over-riders for AE-71 which I bought last year.
Could you give me the dimensions, length and external diameter of the two mounting tubes please.

Thanks

Nigel

Luke,
Do you still have any of the delisted vents for an early Ace?  I have found pictures of my car before it was restored with them fitted.
My car AE 71 also has washers flitted in this picture.  Do either of you know whether these would have been options in early 1955 when the car was built?
Thanks Nigel

An interesting thread as I have an Ace, AE 71 which has been fitted with modern sticky back foam strips which I am looking to change.
Can someone enlighten me on what should be used around the bonnet and boot apertures.
Thanks

Can anyone advise me which part, presumably Lucas, would have been fitted to a 1955 UMC engine in an Ace.
