   Hi Peter

We seem to have the same suspension. And I will buy a set of bushes If you have them remanufactured.

Hi,

I contacted Powerflex (http://www.powerflex.co.uk/) to ask whether they have polyurethane suspension bushes for a AC MK IV. Unfortunately they haven't but they can produce them if the interest is big enough.

   So I have to questions:
   1) how would be interested in these kind of bushes
   2) do you have the same bushes for the front and rear axle? At my car they are identical but I have a quite early MK IV with a MK III style front axle , I guess.

   Regards, Peter

   Hi Jan

   The rims are Halibrand 6 Pin Wheels 6.5" and 8.5" x 15"
Tyres are Cooper Cobra Radial G/T
Front 235/50 15 and Rear 295/45 (or 40, will tell you later on)15.

If needed some you will get the wheels from Robra Restorers, Ltd. in USA or Hawkcars UK.

Tyres should be available from BF Goodrich (Radial T/A) in the same dimension, with white writing. Alternatively you could go for Goodyear Eagle GT II, but when I ordered mine they were only available up to 275/50 or 45.

   Regards

The steering wheel was already fitted when I bought the car. It is a Moto Lita with a nice patina. The horn button is located on the turn signal switch on the right side. The whole unit is different from later cars.

I need a new exhaust system in the near future. I would also like to change my standard W351 headers to another system (shorty headers type). As the W351 is a tight fit in the engine compartment, I don't know what type would fit. Does anybody have any experience? Is there an exhaust system availbale for the MKIV or would I have to build one?

   Thanks Christoph

I would like to replace my starter motor on a W351 engine dated from 1979. Could anybody tell me, if I need a 157 or 164 tooth starter or how I could find out which on to use?

   Thanks Christoph

Greetings from Dundee. I just wanted to try if I manage to upload some pictures of my car. Peter, thanks for your help concerning my brake problem. The front calipers are Girling 17/3 and I hope to get an AP Racing upgrade soon.

I'm new here. Just moved from Switzerland to Dundee and my car AK 1005 will follow soon. Reading some topics on this Forum, I'm happy to see I'm not the only one with brake problems. Alan Faulkner-Stevens already gave me some hints where to get an upgrade for my front brakes. Thanks again, Alan!
I was wondering which type of rear brakes were fitted to my car. Seem to be Girlings. I don't know if these are DB 5 or Peugeot one's. Any good ideas. Where could I get rebuilding parts and brake pads in the U.K. ?

   Thanks for your help
