Keith:

Thanks for bringing that chassis number up, which is partly my fault, since I didn't spot an error in the text until you nudged me.

I went back and re-read the description, which stated (in one of its paragraphs):

"Oldtimer Australia is delighted to offer a very unique and very cool AC Ace. This particular car is chassis number AEX1034, a factory LHD example that was built in 1959. According to a letter on file from AC Cars Ltd dated November 15 1991, AEX1035 was delivered new on the 15th January 1959 to Competition Motors of San Carlo California in the USA. The car was fitted with engine number CLB 9-1 2398 and its original colour scheme was vauxhaull grey with a red leather interior and a black soft top & tonneau cover."

It would be nice to see an actual chassis VIN plate to confirm whether it is 1034 or 1035.

While we are at it, if this car has been previously listed, is there some former commentary regarding it?

I did not see a posting here with commentary regarding this 1959 (AEX 1034) with a 289 transplant, a car that has been around and is now being offered from Australia and listed on Hemmings.com:

   https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/ac/ace/1910255.html

Since there seem to be a couple others of this ilk currently on the AC Forum, I was wondering if someone had additional information on this example. Or would one care to compare and comment on this one vs. the other "mutts" on the Forum?

   Thanks in advance,
