The tragic and fatal crash at the Shoreham air show at the weekend was widely publicised - sadly it seems this was G-HURR, the Hawker Hurricane XII restored at AC when Brian Angliss was in charge.  Condolences to family and friends of the pilot, and sadness at the loss of a fine aircraft and a part of AC history.

I assume the date of this one gives it away (thanks for finding it, Albert) - unless anyone has other information??

In the near future a new set of Terms and Conditions will be set for this Forum that have been checked by the ACOC's lawyer.  All users will have to "click the box" to continue to use the site.  Apologies for the minor inconvenience.
   
   The upside is that we should be able to put in place filters which will stop some of the perverts out there registering as 'members', at least in the short term.

The club has been invited to the HSCC Historic Festival at Brands Hatch on 30 June and 1 July.  The offer is for a one day two-person pass for £25 (normal pre-booking rate £32), with club parking infield.
   
   So I can gauge the level of interest please let me know if you are interested in attending using the contact form or direct to bryan_moseley at nexeninc dot com.
   
   If anyone out there is prepared to co-ordinate the club's presence, also please let me know.

I have confirmed there are no direct photo hosting facilities on the site.  If you do want to post photos these are the instructions:
   
   "If visitors have an address where the image lives i.e
   
   www.mycarsite.com/car/images/picture.gif - they can on a post use the 4th icon from the right on the "format" line - this inserts tags - in between which they put the address (as above of the image they wish to display)
   
   If they do not have any web space to host the image - they can go to "imageshack" or "photobucket" (key in these at google)
   and avail themselves of free image web hosting"
   
   I haven't tried it so if anyone does and has success (or otherwise) please let me know.

The ACOC has decided not to take a stand at the NEC Classic Show this year due to the soaring costs involved.  The club will look again at the possibility of participating in future years.
