It may be Tourmaline green, does it look very dark in some lights?
Note the Mercedes Tourmaline Green is not the same as the AC Tourmaline Green.

General Forum / ACOC Sprint - the future
January 20, 2017, 09:57:25
I have been aiming to do the sprint for the last three years, and only made it along to watch last year, the problem being getting organised enough to do the necessary things car to pass scrutineering for the MSA regs, and also re-buying the kit (helmet, coveralls.......) as mine are probably put of date......... it has been at least 17 years since I last held the licence and competed in Sprints and Hillclimbs.

To go through the process for the AC seems like a lot of effort for just one event a year, so I may aswell get the Alfa set up for the same events too, but then I need to find the time to do more sprints etc again,  which is hasnt happened yet......

The fact that the weather has been very wet the past few years probably hasnt helped to encourage me to get the Ace out on that particular day....

Perhaps an ACOC specific track day in addition to the sprint would be good to get more folk out in their AC''s, (or other cars they have), but this would need organising.

Alternatively perhaps an ACOC presence at one of the classic car focussed track days, with a specific slot for only AC cars, would also serve to raise public awareness of the marque.

I may well be able to get my act together and line evrything up to be able to do the sprint this year though.........

Ace 'Brooklands' Forum / Hood ECUs
January 03, 2017, 19:21:47
I am happy to coordinate ECU's, so as Stuart does not get the same questions multiple times, any new ECU's will need to be coordinated in terms of time-frames, to be as efficient as possible.

Please send me a message with your email address if you are interested (and not heard from me directly already)  and I shall email you back with the info, and coordinate any new-build ECU's.

What a great day that was,!  Weather was spot on, if chiily for spectating. It was nice to put faces to names too. I can post some photos up soon.

Thank you for for this, I only saw it last night, and thus too late to read it all properly and send a considered response. How come they didn't send info about this consultation to the registered keepers of vehicle potentially effected?

Is it obvious when you get there to find where spectators need to  park?, I am planning to come along in the Ace Brooklands, but just to watch.

I am interrsted, can you message me with more details?

I can only agree with you GSouthee,

Oh #%~*!!!  Any idea of who did that?  Can the panels not be repaired? They are composite/fibreglass.
#41
No, but the ECU for it is apparently, albeit modified perhaps. The front rail us BMW and the rest Mercedes I thought too.

I can't log in either, email sent to you already Bob, can my password be reset please?

It was a fun day and an interesting insight in to the journalism world.
