Hi all,
I am going to take the Cobra MKIV out on this old rally revival in September - based in beautiful Stowe Vermont.
I think it will be a great run, recreating the route used in the 50's when drivers like Stirling Moss competed.
It's more like a tour - with a little map reading and average speed driving from time to time.
Details here: https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/great-american-mountain-rally-revival-stowe-vermont-new-england-vintage-road-207119
Would love to see some more Cobras take part if anyone fancies a bit of fun....

I am going to embark on this as its making some odd noises down there!

I know there are threads on this, but some of the links have expired.

I am looking for any detailed instructions to do this on our cars - it's a tight space! Do you need to remove the pedal box to do it right?

Any help much appreciated!!!!

I was considering a little project to upgrade the Brake Booster on my MKIV, inspired by fitting a modern Corvette booster to my 69 Camaro. Has anyone done this? Know anything thats an easy fit with minimal rework?
All thoughts most welcome.

OK I am coming to the end of my MKIV rebuild. When I got the car the trunk lid interior material was lying on the floor and the number plate light wire was dangling into the space. I'm trying to figure out what order these things go on.
Does the wire attach to the trunk lid and then the material covers it all?
Or does the material attach to the trunk lid and then the wire attaches on the outside?
   Any pictures would be great.
   Thanks

I have a little pressure switch in the drivers rear arch that activates the brake lights. Seems to have failed. Anyone know the part number or the source of the original part?

Hi all,
I need a handbrake lever return spring and 2 of the thrust springs from the rear calipers. I know they are Peugeot 504/5 calipers, but can't find the part numbers for the springs. Anyone any ideas?

Hi all,
Just to say if you are looking for a new throttle cable, Speedy Cables in Swansea did an excellent job for me, matching the original for 30 UK pounds. Took about two weeks. Thanks to Alan Faulkner Stevens for the excellent tip.

Refitting Differential. Just realized the top cradle bracket is different front and back and don't know what way to put it on.

   Can anyone help quick?

I have it on one way at the moment but no idea if thats correct.

Hi all,

I have completed my electrical restoration of my early MKIV - made harder by someone butchering a load of wires at some point.
Anyway I am down to 2 questions and hoping for help.

   1. I have a mysterious spare white wire. It leaves the fuse block, goes out the side of the enclosure into the wing area where the side vents are, heads upwards and then comes back into the inside of the car close to the wiper motor. The mystery is that I just have a bare live wire and can't see what its was meant to connect to. Any ideas?

   2. I have a ldoor buzzer circuit on the drivers side, but I can't for the life of me find any door switches..Are they hidden somewhere and I am missing the obvious? Or was it fitted and not used? It is beside the seat belt buzzer which does work.

   THANKS!!!!

Hi all,
This has been covered a bit, but I am fitting JBA shorty headers on Left hand drive 1985 MKIV. The passenger side fit really nice.
   Drivers side appear very tight.
Some post seem to indicate they had to cut them. others seem to have got them to fit.
   Any advice would be amazing.
   Thanks

Suggestions on where to get these?

OK...so I seem to be hitting all the epic jobs on this restoration. Starter motor died yesterday. Direct wired it and its definitely dead.
Then I found a trail that said you have to take the engine out to change - deep joy.
Last resort - I am going to replace the exhaust manifolds with headers. Can you squeeze the starter out at the top with the manifolds removed?
   Anyone pulled that off?
   Thanks
