Hi,

My drivers window on my ac ace brooklands needs to be replaced, I have a question. Speaking to Starglass [who produced the original window] there are two sizes [4mm thick or 5mm thick] does anyone know why the difference. It would seem the later cars have the 5mm. So I assume production issue with the earlier cars.

Also has anyone tried a 5mm window in a 4mm original car?

   Any help welcome!

The car is nearly complete, it will be off next week to get the interior done, once back a custom exhaust system will be fitted. I have attached some pictures, tyres/wheels will be returned to original. Glass, etc. will be fitted last. Also the engine is now complete and fitted with the Reece Fish carbs. Inner wheel arch on each side will be fitted once exhaust is complete.

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows if another car has the same inner door lock as the Ac Aceca. I'm missing one for the drivers door (well someone lost it!). I think an early ford may be the same lock.

   Can anyone help me?

   Thanks

Just thought you guys may like to see the current position of my Aceca restore. The car has nearly been completed [do not worry about the rear flat, old tyres]

Anyway, put the dash in last night (temporary for the moment, need to align the steering. Next stage is putting the Engine and gearbox back in. The car will be running a Zephyr engine + Reece Fish Carbs.

The car has been restored from bottom to top by a good friend who runs F H Ellis (http://www.fhellis.com/) and Graham Bates [GB Eng.]. Once complete (next few months) will post the final build.
