Sold for $70,000!
The buyer will have to be very frugal to complete the restoration without ending up in the red!

General Discussion / Re: Happy Christmas

Hope everyone had a great Christmas, looking forward to catching up with my AC mates in 2024!

I wondered the same, Barrie, knowing that the 'Q' plate arrived in 1983, and this being first registered in 1984, with a 1964 registration, it is odd!!
It doesn't appear in the registry with that number either.

In amongst dozens of cars including an Alvis, Porsches, MG's and many more, I spotted this Buckland, last change of keeper 2011!

I hope some of these can be saved!  :(

Thanks Robin.
I wonder where the creative history to go with the 'air car' came from?!

The change of date has ruined the event for me, so I can't attend that weekend! 🤬

Hi, so sorry about the circumstances that these items are for sale, but I will be bidding.
My Dad is in the 1968 edition, so I'd love to have a copy, plus the other pieces are cool. 👍🏻

Interesting... the registry doesn't show a COB6003, but it does have COX6003.

Funny.
Not funny ha ha.

Hi Max and welcome!
If you would like to email Trevor Legate, he has an enviable collection of photos of all things Cobra, but specifically from the Des Cassidy era for 6104.

All the best,

Ironic that you & I both stood down from our respective chairs almost to the day!

Nothing will stop our enthusiasm for all things AC, hopefully we can have a good catch-up at the Revival!

I know this was a while ago, but did you find a Hawk, Reg?

Interesting... but Conza is not the name I heard mentioned in October last year in this 'discussion' I had on FaceAche!

Recent ACs / Re: New AC Ace RS
June 02, 2022, 22:42:04
More to the point, what the heck does the "RS" pertain to?!

If the vehicle is supposed to be a tribute to the RS-chassis numbered Aces, shouldn't the nose be the correct shape?

Oh Nik, don't be negative. You never know you could win the lottery this weekend then I guarantee the car would be in your garage come the following weekend. BUT if you don't win the lottery and I do I'll buy it for you!
Terry
Maybe I'll buy a ticket for you too! 😆

Surely Nik Bagshaw can add some interesting info as his father was one of its former owners.

Indeed, here are the original threads I wrote about 5 BPG!

I can't believe it's for sale; sadly, just like the Cobra, it will be forever out of reach to me!  :-[
