Has anyone had any experience of fitting a spin on type remote filter to replace (in my case) an old type remote with a long central bolt drawing the bowl into the upper sealing ring?
Think automotive have a probably suitable Mocal head, but what capacity and type of filter to fit to it I've no idea!
Of course its not original but it sure should be better.....
I do, but I'm not close to my car right now and can't recall exactly what we've done. I will send you a picture and tell you what we've done.

PS, a nice night in michigan, enjoying a few cold brewskis at the lake!!
Just get a remote filter block. It takes a Ford spin on filter Fram PH8. Plumb from where the oil comes out of the screen, to the filter block, then back into the side of the motor. You will then have full flow oil filtration.
I bought one last year from http://www.flexolite.co.uk/pdf/Oil%20filter%20adaptor%20list.pdf, complete with filter and seems fine
Thanks folks, seems like you're more in advance on this 'across the pond' than we are! Look for ward to the picture Gus, AlexG
Thanks Julian, Flexolite looks like a good lead, and already emailed them. Did you go the new filter head route or the adaptor route? (PS your link didnt work, but Flexolite.co.uk is fine)

You appear to have two feeds into the filter also what is the output to the chain area for?
Do you use the existing pressure relief valve in the sump? at what point do you monitor the oil pressure?
Quite a complex oil system.

Adapter, so 5 mins work, and easily removable. When I wanted another filter I found the one for my 2.9 Granada works well and is easily available.
