Title: SU HV2 air cleaners
Post by: greg@zimmlittmotoring.com on November 16, 2024, 22:30:27
Hello,
I am curious what people are using as air cleaners for the SU HV2 carburetors.  Is there a source for the old-style bell mouth gauze intake or a modern option?
Thanks for your help,
Greg

You might find something at Burlen fuel supplies.
Sorry dont have a link for you but an internet search should come up with their website.

Thanks, I had looked there previously and the only thing available is for the 1" Amal.
The casting thickness on the 1-1/8" HV2 makes it difficult to open these up enough to fit.

Thanks for the help

Greg,
Are the air cleaners you need the same as on the 2 Litre saloon ? Which is to say they mount on a spigot rather than the later flange mounting
