G'Day Guys

I have some scalloping developing on the inside of my front tyres so planning to get a wheel alignment done. However no shop will likely have the presets for an AC Cobra MkIV for Castor, Camber and Toe Setting so was hoping that I might be able to get some figures here.

For those who have done their wheel alignments, what setting did you use. I have a 302HO incase weight is a parameter.

If you have a chassis book ( handbook) for your car they should be in the backpages.
Ill post ( on my pc)the Mk IV CRS figures later but i recall there slightly different to the alloy MK IV
Hopefully a MK IV owner will post up the figures if you dont have the handbook.
I have written a note on how to adjust these as theres various rose joints to adjust.

These are the MKIV CRS but think are slightly different to Alloy bodied MKIV

The CRS chassis book gives the following settings for a MKIV CRS which are slightly different to the alloy MkIV and its variants.
After all these are just starting points in getting set up.
Front  Camber  45' negative                  Castor  3deg 30'                   Toe  in 20'(total)
Rear   Camber 30' negative                                                      Toe in 15' (total

I will email the adjustment process to you

I found these for the Alloy MK IV on a forum search As allways its just a start point tbh. You will see this is similar to  the MK IV CRS
What rim size and tyre types are you running?

 Front
   Castor:set value 3°30'
   Camber:value 0°45'
   Toe in:set value 0°10'(total 0°20')

   Rear
   Camber:set value 0°30'
   **Toe out:set value -0°15'(total -0°30')

( **note this is from typed in forum data( and was derived from the tracking computers data)  , not the handbook, and as Barrie points out on following reply may be suspect. Any MK IV owner care to post up the data from their chassis book?

A little confusion here methinks - the rear toe in given for the Mk IV CRS is correct and I would expect the rear on the Mk. IV Alloy to be the same rather than toe out. For what its worth I think even this small amount of toe out might make for quite nervous handling.
In both cases the rear toe in/out adjustment is by lengthening or shortening the trailing links to the lower wishbone and they are in the form of a turnbuckle. Thus one Rose joint is LH thread and it is hard to tell which as very little thread is visible outwith the locknut and the links will fit and are fitted either end forward. So if you find you are using excessive force to loosen the lock nuts check for LH thread
